Ujjayi Breath or also called Ocean Breath or Victorious Breath it is energizing and calming at the same time.
This internal, basic breath is a great tool to assist in synchronicity of movement and breath.
Benefits: That Breath soothes your nervous system, calms your mind and it helps to override thoughts that could possibly distract you. It helps cleansing the throat and lungs and strengthens the diaphragm and throat muscles. It may help to improve of voice and your thyroid function. May reduce cough, fever and chronic cold.
I am new to this particular breathing exercise. I am so thankful to have found this while looking for another video here:) This breathwork is very settling before bed! I’ve tried other things that do not move the needle on sleep preparations to no avail. This really helped me to let go of the 1001 thoughts rolling through my mind begging for attention before bedtime:) Just wonderful!! Doris knows so much about the body as temple and creating a calm place there for our souls to shine in there:) Thanks Again Doris!! Great tool here:)
