Sufi Mother’s Breath is said to promote a feeling of safety, security, and nurturing. As with all deep breathing exercises, the increased flow of oxygen improves the complexion and cleanses the inner organs by helping to remove toxins from the system. On the inhalation, concentrate on a sense of well-being that enfolds you like a soft, warm blanket; when you exhale, acknowledge someone in your life who has nurtured and cared for you. Feel protected, secure, and loved.
This is a new breathing technique I just learned: I. Am. Thankful!! It is very, very calming to me. I’ve been doing it cross legged; however, that really hurt my ankles so I was thrilled to find this short blog tonight wherein Doris shared our legs can be placed straight out. Great! That will really help me be able to feel better about doing this more often:) Also, I forgot it can be done lying down even. What a peaceful way to start our mornings! I’m trying it tomorrow! Again, thank you Doris for teaching us new ways to stay calm and experience quiet peace through gentle, focused breaths & movements–so appreciated!!
This is a wonderful breathing technique. I love how we breathe in the feeling of a soft blanket wrapped around us and then breathe out love to someone that has loved us. It’s a beautiful exchange of energy plus all of the physical benefits that we get too!
Thank you…….and……. Namaste…..
