Box Breathing for Hormone Balance
Today I want to share this safe, effective box breathing for hormone restoration to every woman who desires youthful vitality in the second half of her life.
Peri-menopause and Menopause lower our stress resilience and often lead to anxiety and depression as a result of declining hormone levels. Our brains need estrogen, progesterone and testosterone to function properly.
It is also recommendable for people with high stress jobs. Soldiers, police officers, and professional athletes often use box breathing because when they are in high-stress situations, it’s crucial that they remain calm to think clearly. This technique is also relevant for anyone interested in re-centering themselves, as well as, improving their concentration, mood and controlling emotions.
It works by distracting your mind as you count to four, calming your nervous system, and decreasing stress in your body and resetting your oxygen saturation. You can practice box breathing anywhere and anytime including at a work desk, waiting in a doctor’s office, waiting in line at the super market, or airport.
Ok….I love this simple breathing technique, Doris….🤗💕🤗
The visual of the box…..it’s so effective❣️❣️
I was given a specific sequence of poses in a private session with Doris over a year ago and after doing them daily for maybe 3 to 6 months??……I was able to reduce my preventative migraine medication by a dose…..!!
Migraines for me are caused by 2 factors….
1….hormone imbalance and having low progesterone levels which trigger migraines right before and during the first few days of my monthly cycle and also at the end of it and a few days after.
2…..herniated discs in my neck and an injury to my rotator cuff and bicep.
Here is how I know these techniques that Doris gave me but also all the other techniques that she shares on her blog and in class have worked and still do for me.
I have always been able to feel when I am trying to get a migraine even after being put on a preventative med bc
I would still feel the pressure and a feeling of no oxygen getting to my brain at the base of my head. Also….
I get spots and auras in my vision.
These symptoms were/are always there at the onset of a migraine, even after I was put on preventative for them, I just never get a full blown migraine due to the preventative medication.
I have had maybe a few months of these symptoms during my monthly cycle since I started on the hormone balance sequence given to me by Doris. That’s the absolute truth!!
I do still experience these same symptoms from my neck and shoulder issues…. but that is it!
You are the best Doris and I am so grateful for you!! Many people are!!
Sending u lots of love Doris!!
☺️💓☺️
