Sigh out Breath, Horse Breath, Lion’s Breath, those breathing techniques alleviate stress & anxiety, eliminate toxins, and stimulates your throat and upper chest.
Sigh out Breath: This breath signals the body to relax, inviting it to release tension. Also invite the mind to let go of unnecessary thoughts and become more present.
This release breath is responsible for elimination and cleansing, removing anything that no longer serves you.
Horse Breath: This breath is releasing tension in your jaw, letting things go, exhaling carbon dioxide and releasing fatigue.
With this playful breathing technique, you can be silly making animal sounds like a horse.
Lion’s Breath: Is a powerful breath related to the thyroid, that can help you to clear the throat chakra and become more energized and focused.
Stimulates your vocal cords and diaphragm, regulates the nervous system and strengthen your lungs.
This breath also provides a nice stretch for your face and neck, making it great for relieving tension in both areas.
There are many different breathing techniques that I have learned and these 3 are great for stress release…..as Doris stated.
I have been doing them since I started working with Doris almost 2 years ago and couldn’t imagine not having my horse breath..(it’s my fave of the 3)….
It’s like taking my daily vitamins!! Can’t go without!! 🙂
Doris’ yoga therapy has such a specific and specialized approach that I am experiencing shifts on every level. My NEUROLOGIST….a few weeks ago….officially took me down from 3 doses to 2 doses of my preventative migraine medication. All due to a specific set of poses, that Doris assigned to me, during a private session, that I do daily and have since November of 2022.
Due to more frequent appointments this past few months with my neurologist…..to safely get me to 2 doses of preventative migraine med, I was missing some of the live weekly classes with Doris. I told my neurologist and he changed my next appt, which wasn’t the easiest for him, bc he is booked out, all for one reason…..which was he doesn’t want me to miss anymore of the live classes. He stated very clearly how much I am improving in many areas and the shifts he has seen and he sees the importance of Doris’ specific yoga therapy that she teaches and guides me through…..that is how amazing her work with others is!!
Ok….well I got side tracked there….but it was for a very important reason…. 🙂
Back to the 3 breaths…..that she teaches in this video….they have become a part of my daily routine….did I already say that? 🙂
Thank u my most favorite and lovely lady on the earth…!!!💞💞
These three breaths have become part of my daily routine: the horse breath is particularly helpful when I need calm resolve! The lion’s breath is hard for me to do as I always want to rush through it for some unknown to me reason; however, when I take my time with it, both my neck and my eyes thank me:) The gentle sigh out often leads me into a longer meditation or Doris’ resting poses (LOVE those) in her replays from class. All three breaths are so helpful in different ways and very appreciated! Thanks so much Doris!!
Grateful,
Brenda
