Legs up the Wall
This pose has many benefits. It is a powerful and restorative pose that helps with sending blood flow to your core, reduces stress – calms your nerves, improves insomnia – better sleep, calms the nervous system, improves lymphatic flow, improves flow of hormone to the reproductive organs, relieves pelvic congestion – improves digestion, alleviates headaches.
When you put your legs up the wall with your pelvis elevated on a folded blanket or bolster, lymph and other fluids that lead to swollen ankles, varicose veins, tired knees, and congested pelvic organs flow into the lower belly; this refreshes the legs and the reproductive area.
Thank you Doris!! This simple, elevating (ha!) technique is so good for swollen ankles tethered to a computer desk day!! And, (no joke!) elevates my spirit too! I like doing this pose especially mid afternoon when my day needs a bit more juice to finish strong! This is just the ticket!
